Tiernan got a buzz cut

What with the hot weather and the fact that his hair was beginning to get a little unrul in the morning and after naps, I consulted with Tony then took Tiernan to get his first buzz cut, he did great, didn't flinch at the clippers, and I can't believe how cute (and tough) he looks.

Tiernan's First Love

I'd like to tell him when he's older that his first love was his little friend Niamh, the blonde haired blue eyed little beauty that he flirts with shamelessly, but I would be lying. Tiernan first and true love at the moment is Choo-Choo's and everything that pertains to them.

So much so that I bought a train table for part of Tony's Fathers Day present. It is the first thing Tiernan runs to when he wakes up, and is the last thing he puts down before bed. He tears the track apart, hides the sheep in the tunnel all the while with this serious little look on his face and chanting choo choo choo under his breath, it is so damn cute, and here are some pictures to prove it.

So Tiernan got to feed himself his yogurt today, and here is his adventure...

Fun in The Sun

After Trian Town we headed to Boompa's house in Glen Ellen to cool off in their pool. We are trying to get Tiernan used to the water (which we know he loves) as we are starting swimming lessons soon. We had a fun day, playing in the pool, chasing the dogs and playing golf

All Aboard !!

Today we took our "Choo Choo" mad son to Sonoma Train Town. It was about a 45 minute drive from San Francisco and we arrived just in time for opening at 10am. We were glad as it was already getting warm up there and we got to board the very first steam train.

Before we boarded the train we went to take a look at the Roundhouse with the trains and cabooses that were stationed there. It was pretty cool, Tiernan loved the shiny silver engine.

Time to board the train, it wound along a track through the trees, with spectacular scenery, fountains and lakes and little miniature towns and farms etc throughout a 10 minute ride.

The train stops half way around at a "Town" that has a petting farm with sheep, goats, Llamas etc and lots of miniature houses, stores, saloons etc for the kids to explore. T had to use the Outhouse and check out the Fire House.

It was then time to wander around the rest of park and check out the rides, unfortunately Tiernan was too small to go on most of the rides, like the chairplanes and swings, but he did get to ride the carousel and his very first Big Wheel.

Then Mama just HAD to buy the cutest engineer hat and bandana for her very own little engineer.

Then we HAD to go back to the Roundhouse for one last look at that big shiny engine.

We had a great day out, and would highly recommend this to anyone with a budding train enthusiast. It was a great way to spend a warm sunny morning.
