A new Farmers Market opened in our neighborhood today. At the opening ceremony, they had a release of live butterflies. Each child got a little cardboard box with a butterfly inside, once it opened, the butterflies were off, and so were the kids, chasing them and trying to touch them. I was amazed at how gentle Tiernan was with them, until another kid tried to stand on one, and then of course, monkey see, monkey do came into play. The market was full of delicious and local fresh produce, and some yummy Middle Eastern flat breads and spreads. I stocked up and will make sure that I head there every Saturday to support our local Farmers and get some goodies!

Golden Gate Park
We tried to beat the heat today by hitting Golden Gate Park and the water feature there. Tiernan having being starved off interacting with other kids this week, immediately made a buddy in a little boy named Campbell, who he trailed about the park by the hand (not that Campbell seemed to mind). They played in the sprinklers, climbed the play structures and were mesmerized by the bubbles. Tiernan stayed cool and Mama enjoyed being able to relax (a little). It was so nice to see my little man up and running about again with a smile on his face.

WoWo - Mama - WoWo
Whenever we drive through the St Francis Wood Neighborhood on our way to work, we pass a beautifull fountain. Every day Tiernan points at it excitedly and says "WoWo Mama WoWo".
Today I stopped, we got out and explored the fountain, Tiernan got to splash around and I got the opportunity to take some cool photos.

Turtle Turtle
Tiernan has a new favourite word - Turtle! He loves going to see the Koi pond at the local Mall, and spotting the turtles. Due to his isolation the past week we have taken to getting their in the mroning, when no one else is around and found that the turtles are really active at that time, and come swimming up real close. Tiernan is in heaven and can sit and watch them for at least 15 minutes, in toddler time, that is equivalent to hours! It's a good job that there is a Starbucks next door.

Fun in the sun
We are on house arrest due to TT's Hand Foot and Mouth virus, and are rapidly getting Cabin Fever. I decided that it would be a tradgedy to not take advantage of the lovely weather we are having. My first thought was to go to the beach, but after some thought, and friendly advice, decided to stick closer to home.
I went and bought TT a paddling pool at Target, came home and set it up, he loved it, but I think he actually prefers playing with his old water table, my boy is most definately a water baby!

TT and Elmo = BFF'S
Tiernan loves to play with his Elmo doll, he likes to change his diaper, put clothes on him and watch shows. Surprisingly Elmo doesn't put up much of a fight!

Fabulous Birthday Weekend
For the past 5 years my birthday has always been plagued with horrible and unfortunate events, leading me to believe that it is "cursed"!! This weekend I threw caution to the wind and decided to head to Santa Cruz and Monterey with my boys.
We headed to Santa Cruz Saturday morning and hung out on the beach by the boardwalk, Tiernan is most definately a little beach hound, he loves the water!! We then hit the boardwalk for lots of rides, which T LOVED, kettle corn and FUN!
We stayed in a hotel in Santa Cruz that night and had a lovely Italian meal, folloed by some relaxation in the hotel hot tub.
The next morning we set off bright and early for Capitola beach, and T had some Nekid fun, some lunch then we packed up and headed for Monterey!! The aquarium was a little overwhelming, T loved the exhibits and was so excited, screaming TURTWLLEE the whole time, but it was way over crowded which kinda made it a little stressfull for me.
We headed to a great little park called "Dennis The Mennis", how appropriate for our little guy, and had some ice cream cones. T ended up wearing most of his, but had sooo much fun!
We then went for a stroll along Fishermans Wharf, had some dinner and some coffee.
The weekend was perfect, I had so much fun with my guys, we laughed so hard the whole weekend I didn't want to come home.
And the curse, I honestly thought it was broken, until we were getting ready to get into the car to leave and I dropped my keys down a storm drain - go figure!!
Luckily enough my handsome husband is mulit talented and my hero. With a little help from the only store keeper in blocks, and fashioned with a big stick and a coat hanger, we were on our way in 30 minutes.
The photos are all jumbled due to the upload feature, but enjoy!!
